Very casual with a good atmosphere.
A vegetarian heaven.
The food is homely and very tasty.
Buffet style.
Parking can be quite difficult.
It is not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are two (2) flights of stairs which are quite challenging.
Worth a visit.
Fantastic experience!
Turns out I came here 15 years ago and I have just been served by the same chef.
The staff are unbelievably kind and accommodating.
The movie experience is unique
The food is stunning
Disappointing birthday celebration. Limited dishes for a buffet. Dhal, creamy vegetables, and eggplant dishes were tasty. Most of the dishes were average. Frequent clearing of the dishes felt uncomfortable. Drinks and desserts are not included. Overrated.
Not great but not bad. Staff are constantly zipping around the tight dining area. Westernised take on the Indian dishes on offer with the rest of the buffet being a pasta bake which you'll need the cheese top layer when taking your serving to have any flavour. Dining areas could be better illuminated. Those seeking a menu which doesn't contain onion and garlic (religious reasons) and is pure vegetarian and somewhat vegan have this as a safe option.
Wonderful food and all you can eat. Just be careful to not over do it. Easy to do because the dishes are all perfect. Amazing value and delightful staff too
This is the best vegetarian buffet I have ever had. They had plenty of food options including multiple, salad, curry and pasta options. Bread, rice, wedges and soup were also on offer. The lentil pie was amazing; a bit like a shepherds pie but with lentils instead of beef filling. They fried Caulfield was amazing and the sauces for dipping were great too. I definitely recommend booking as it can get busy at movie times. The dinner and movie deal is well worth the spend, especially if you can get a Groupon voucher. The location of the toilets (down two flights of stairs) was a little awkward when up at the cinema, but other than that this place is great. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back!
I did not know what to expect and it was a very nice experience ! We did a dinner movie combo and truly enjoyed the experience . The food is buffet style and a mix of vegetarian Indian dish and European style . It’s a small buffet but very adequate . The service is great and the atmosphere really nice . The cinema is made of long beds where you sit/ lay and it’s super intimate and very nice . You take your shoes off and just enjoy the movie ! Loved it
What a pleasant surprise this was! Buffets are few and far between these days, but Govindas still survives. Although they didn’t have a million options, they options they did have were great. Never did I think I’d find myself eating vegetarian, but this was a knock out. The atmosphere is super casual and the team here was super friendly.
